Dear Neighbors

Let me begin on behalf of myself and our trustees by wishing you a happy holiday season , and a healthy, and prosperous New Year. As the year comes to an end and I reflect on our great community I realize that we have accomplished so much. Thanks to the hard work of our Board Of Trustees  George Nugent, Chris Cefola, Amy Romano, Lenny Nathan, Peggy Nadell, Maria Nakazawa, and John Cummings the Association continues to grow and become more involved at every level of our local government. This involvement over the  past year has allowed us to finalize the work on the revitalization project, the new pocket park the Welcome to Valley Cottage sign , and the banners for our street lights. We are all very proud of these improvements , and I hope that you appreciate all the hard work from this very dedicated group of people.

 Looking forward to 2010 the association will continue to work for you to ensure that our hamlet continues to receive the attention it deserves. The Association would like to do much more. However, in order to accomplish  that we need your support.  As with many organizations most people tend not to join unless there is a problem that affects them personally. Therefore, I would like to ask all our members to reach out to their neighbors and encourage them to join and get involved. Let us know what interests you. What else can we do that would make a difference in getting your neighbors involved.

I understand that schedules are hectic and time is precious, but our community and where we raise our families is an important part of our lives that we should never take for granted. I encourage you to continue to be members and to urge others to join and be an active participant in our hamlet.

When you think about what your New Year’s resolution is going to be for 2010, make it being involved in your community. It would be a wonderful way to start off the New Year. Let us know what you think and how you can get involved.
